Azure Virtual Network with SOPHO XG Firewall

In this topology, SOPHO XG firewall will manage all traffics within azure virtual network. Azure Virtual Network:  VNET: 172.16.0.0/16. Within this Virtual Network, there are four subnets. Active / Standby WAN Interface loadbalancing in Sopho UTM Firewall

In this article, I will demonstrate how to set active/standby WAN Interface load balancing on Sopho UTM. Step (1) Create Second WAN Interface  Go to Interfaces & Routing > Interfaces > Click " + New Interface "  step(2) setup information for your second wan interface address. Name : naming your interface Type : select "Ethernet"  Hardware : choose the interface that you want to use as second WAN interface Dynamic IPV4 or select static if you want to assign static ip address Step(3)  Go to interface & Routing > Interfaces > uplink Balancing . Switch on this button. (by default "disable uplink balancing" ) Go to active interface section and choose the interface that you want to use active interface and  also choose standby interface for standby. How to Create Admin User in SOPHO UTM

In this article, we discuss about how to create another admin user and assign existing user to admin role for SOPHO UTM Webadmin Access. Go to Definitions & Users > Users & Group  and then click " + New User " Naming Username and password, authentication method and other option. In authentication method: There are three option - Local, None and remote. local - You can use local when you want to use this user to connect UTM only. remote - You can use  remote authentication type when you want to use active directory users or other authentication server like LDAP, etc.  After creating user, the second step you have to do is to assign this user to superadmin group. SOPHO UTM initial Configuration Part2

After you initial setup on UTM (  https://phonemyintmyatzaw7.blogspot.com/2020/08/utm-97-initial-configuration.html ), you have to do the next step that I described below. Go to UTM WebAdmin Page by browsing https://192.168.108.251:4444.  Firstly, You have to setup initial configuration like hostname, admin password, email address and so on.   After filling the above information, accept the end user license agreement and  click perform basic system setup. It will take a few minute and your UTM will reboot a while. After logon into your UTM, you will see two option:  Continue - If you want to setup all fresh configuration, you should choose this option. Restore a backup - If you had UTM backup file, you can use this option and can try to restore from a backup. In my demo, I don't use a backup so I choose "continue" option and Click "Next". UTM 9.7 Initial Configuration Part-1

In this article, I want to demonstrate about how to install SOPHO UTM 9.5 Firewall in step by step.  Select your region and click "Next".  Select the interface that you will use the webadmin user access. (I recommend that you have to choose the interface which you connect to the Local LAN Network).  Set the IP Address of that interface. In this demo, it will use my LAN Network address (192.168.108.251/24). After that  you can access your webadmin page by browsing https://192.168.108.251:4444.
